Oberhausen is located between Dürnstein and Oberloiben at the foot of the Nepoleanic War memorial (1805). Regular flooding prior to regulation deposited clay, silt and sand (alluvium) under a layer of washed Danube stone. The wines that emerge from this region are as fruitful as the soil (ground) is fertile.
 
Wine: In the nose very aromatic, typical muscatel notes, sweet citrus notes, elderflower, flower honey, mango and delicate hints of quince. On the palate, fresh and animating, with refreshing acidity and pronounced fruit play. Very typical and concise!
 
Recommended food: Aperitif wine, cold starters, pasta dishes, soups or as a soloist on warm summer days
